![]() ![]() I loved whatever the hell was going on between the Gman and the Kingpin thing, and I really appreciated how much detail you put into the NPC encounters in general. Unsettling and eldritch at times, with some good humor sprinkled here and there. The atmosphere in this mod was right up my alley. Since Doom 2016, I've embraced push-forward combat, switching up my playstyle from a conservative corner-shooter to an aggressive pusher, and I think the level design here accommodates that style well. ![]() ![]() It never was overly difficult to figure out where to go next with how light is used to draw attention to key areas, and the combat sets had great rhythm and flow. Looks aside, the maps were just plain and simple well designed. Took quite a few screenshots! Your depiction of the Xen infestation was so damn cool. You used the SoHL engine so very well, every scene was gorgeous, and many of them were just jaw-dropping for a 20-year old game. Man this is the CREAMIEST Half-Life 1 mod I've ever played. Other than those two things, this is a wonderful mod and I'm absolutely recommending it to all of my friends. The explosion seemed to push me as well but it did no damage. For some reason, the wall blew open before I opened the shutters and I could leave the checkpoint and walk around in the garage, but the scientist and guard were frozen and the scientist was leaning on nothing. There was also an odd bug in the part where the HEV guard gets sniped. It came out a lot louder than I think was intended in Goldsrc for me for some reason so I had to replace it with a quieter sound so as not to blow my speakers, maybe something to fix for a 1.1 patch. The one tiny thing I had a problem with was the stalker scream you used for jumpscares. I wasn't even aware some of those G-Man lines existed, so it really surprised me to hear him say something new. The use of the Gargantua as more of a puzzle element than a boss was a lot of fun, especially when it seemed to get angry and throw things at me when I outsmarted it. I'm almost certain I saw Gordon running for the tram near the beginning. Little details like the construction worker commenting on you coming out of the bathroom or all of the little scenes and easter eggs you set up show a quality not often seen in the average mod. This is one hell of a mod, everything from the atmosphere to the insane attention to detail could seriously give Valve a run for their money.
